In commemoration of 65th anniversary of Hasanuddin University, Faculty of Medicine held an international symposium dubbed ” An Update in Nutrigenetics of Metabolic Diseases”. The online symposium featured four invited speakers: Prof. Vimal Karani (Reading University UK), Dr. Fahat Jameel (Novo Nordisk Indonesia), Dr. dr. Andi Makbul Aman, SpPD-KEMD (Department of Internal Medicine, Hasanuddin University), dr. Agussalim Bukhari, PhD, SpGK(K) (Department of Nutrition, Hasanuddin University). The symposium also featured Prof. Dr.dr Nurpudji Astuti Taslim, SpGK(K) in expert opinion session.
The symposium was officially opened by the Rector of Hasanuddin University, Prof.Dr. Dwia Aristina Pulubuh, MA who praised the event as a way to contribute to solve metabolic diseases through disseminating updates of current knowledge and treatment trends in Nutrigenetics. Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Prof.dr. Budu, PhD, SpM(K), in his welcoming speech thanked the Organizing Committee for the efforts to present the event.
